    Working with spirit guides

    Its been a while since I posted on my spiritual space. I'v been spending far too much time down at the Photo Directory and my main space.
     
    Life over the last week seems to have picked up slightly for me, however, not enough for me to be able to meditate, relax and practice any kind of mediumship. I guess in a way im using whats happening in my life as an excuse when really I could quite easily lay down and rest for an our and practice my mediumship. I guess I just dont have the stamina to keep it up at the moment, or the enthusiasm, im so took up with starting my new job and getting life sorted out and back on track, that I cant even remember my dreams when I wake up now. I do have faith that i'll be able to practice my mediu ship in the future though and that I'll remember my dreams soon enough.
    I rememebr doing the Tarot cards for Mum only a week ago and we couldnt understand why she had the 'Tower' card - this card signifies a drastic move of a situation in your life, or a complete failure of plans. Mum started a new job only 2 days ago and yesterday she gave it up as a bad job as it just wasnt working for her, the tower card was explained.
    I'v been reading a book called  'Working with Spirit Guides' by Ruth White. Its really quite interesting and tells you ways in which you can contact your spirit guide and become good communicaters with each other. Im half way through and again, im blaiming my circumstances for not finishing it off sooner, but im onto it!  I'v been told that my spirit guide is named Tom and who is always looking over me and there to guie me down the correct path. He's young, younger than me infact! and when he was living here on earth he was a soldgier and was killed in action. To communicate with Tom would be so amazing.

    Meditation

    Meditation to me is a form of relaxation that enables me to take my mind away from everyday activity and beomce calm with myself and everything around me.

    Meditating makes me see the world from a different perspective, it enables me to become more understanding about the real world and eccepting everything thats happened and happening is just part of lifes teachings.

    Meditating takes many forms, we all meditate without even realising! Just thinking about nice things while your washing the dishes is a form of meditating because while you are thnking nice thoughts, your brain is at peace, therfore you body becomes relaxed.  There is no perticular method that we all should follow, meditating is a one to one with yourself and so for you to feel alone and free, you should create your own method of meditating, whether it be laying on a bed thnking of a sunny beach, or walking in the woods thinking about the birds and listening to the sounds they make.

    When I feel ready to meditate I will usualy lay on my bed and completely relax every bone in my body with my eyes shut. After 5-10 minutes, my breathing slows down considerably and I can totaly let my mind wonder whereever it once to go, I always make sure that its to a nice place though, thats the good thing about meditation, your mind is free to go, see, hear, think and feel anything it wants, there is no boundries to the spirits mind. While I breath I will always follow the same concept, breathing in lots of good energy and positive thoughts about myself and the people around me, breathing out all the negative things in my life, the insicurities and all the things that have made me weak.

     

    When I meditate I will usualy think of being in an oversized deserted room, standing infront of a big old victorian staircase that spirals higher and higher into the cealings of the building. I then take myself up these stairs, 1 step at a time, feeling my foot touch the floor, seeing my hand grip one side of the banister. I then begin to imagine being surounded by bright perfect colours. There is nothing more unique and spiritual than the millions of colours you mind can design, the colours you choose to see can tell you a lot about yourself. I will usualy see one colour to start, then as I move slowely up the stair case, the colour will change and blend slowely into another colour and so on as I go higher and

    higher, feeling myself getting lighter and lighter. Then as I enter the door at the top of the stairs the colours dissintergrate and I see myself in another room, surrounded by a brilliant white that I know is purifying by soul as I stand thier. While im in this room I begin to make myself at home, I create a home for myself, adding anything adn everything I could possibly want into this room. I stay there and just sit quietly looking through the white light and thinking only wonderful things, remembering that as I breath in, im breathing this white light in and when I breath out, im breathing out negative feelings, thoughts and emotions, this is seen to me as the colour black, dissapearing into the white as I breath out.

    If I never have time during the day to meditate, I will always meditate as I try to sleep, this kills 2 birds with one stone because not only are you meditating and relaxing your mind, your also sending yourself off to sleep which in turn is good for healthy dreams and a good nights sleep.
